March 10, 2009

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After recording a pair of wins last weekend, the UCF men's tennis team has entered the Intercollegiate Tennis Association national rankings. Head coach Bobby Cashman's squad is 68th in the latest poll.

This past Friday, the Knights recorded a 4-3 win over No. 59 Florida Atlantic in Orlando. UCF followed that match by posting a 5-2 victory against visiting Georgia State Sunday. The win over the Panthers pushed UCF's record to 7-5.

The ITA lists the top-75 squads in the country. The Knights have played five nationally-ranked teams in 2009.

UCF is in the middle of an eight-match homestand. The squad will return to action Friday at 2 p.m. versus No. 48 Radford. On Sunday, the Knights will host No. 33 Miami at 11 a.m.

Admission to all contests at the UCF Tennis Complex is free.
