ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - With anticipation for Opening Day building, the UCF baseball team has released its promotional schedule for the 2009 season. This weekend's four-game series which starts Friday at 6:30 p.m. vs. Virginia Commonwealth will be sponsored by Holler-Classic Automotive.
Along with several giveaways this weekend, Monday's contest at 1 p.m. will allow little league players who are wearing their full uniform to get in for free with a full price adult. This ticket special will be featured all year long when the Knights play home game Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Every Sunday will be Kids Day at the Park, where kids will be allowed to run the bases and get their favorite Knight to sign autographs. And throughout the season, the UCF sports marketing staff will hand out trading cards of the Knights, so come out often to collect them all!
There are also several 80's nights in the works as head coach Terry Rooney admits to craving the wonderful tunes of Pet Shop Boys and Rick Springfield.
