? After matching his career high with 38 points, Jermaine Taylor has now led the Knights in scoring in 23 of the team's 24 games. He has scored at least 20 points in eight-straight contests. On the year, he has scored at least 30 points six times. The contest also served as the 75th double-figure scoring game of his career.
? During the game, Taylor moved to ninth on the Conference USA career points register, passing Charlotte's Jobey Thomas (1999-02). Taylor has scored 1,756 points as a Knight.
? By scoring eight points against Tulsa this upcoming Saturday in Orlando, Taylor will become UCF's all-time leading scorer at the Division I level. Ken Leeks, who played from 1988-92, currently occupies the top spot with 1,763 points.
? UCF finished with a 38-32 edge on the glass against the Miners. Four of Taylor's six boards came on the offensive end.
? In 26 minutes, Taylor Young dished out a game-high eight assists. He also added six points and three steals.
? Tony Davis just missed out on his third-consecutive double-double as he finished with nine points and 12 rebounds.
? The contest served as the second of three games in Texas this season for the Knights. The squad played at Rice on Jan. 17 and will meet Houston on Feb. 21.
