UCF SportsKnight Set to Air Tuesday

Jan. 6, 2009

Fans of the Knights can tune into UCF SportsKnight on Tuesday at 5 p.m. on SunSports. This week's episode reviews the impressive performances of Jermaine Taylor at the UCF Holiday Classic and the women's basketball team's conference win against Southern Miss.

Each 30-minute program is hosted by UCF alum Jeff Sharon and takes viewers inside the past week of UCF Athletics. UCF TV airs the show several times per week and their schedule can be found by visiting ucftv.ucf.edu.

The SportsKnight Spotlight features Mike O'Donnell, who is an analyst during radio broadcasts for men's basketball games alongside play-by-play announcer Mark Daniels. O'Donnell graduated in May and is currently working for the Golden Knights Club as a graduate assistant.

This week's episode also previews the spring sports including baseball, softball, track and field, and men's and women's tennis. Viewers will be presented with information about each sport and find out what to look forward to over the next semester.

Each week, the show provides highlights from the past week in UCF Athletics. The men's basketball team defeated Penn and Chicago St. at the UCF Holiday Classic as well as Sam Houston State the following Saturday. After a loss at Florida State on Wednesday, the women's basketball team rebounded by winning their first conference game against Southern Miss.

News and notes from this week's basketball action and the SportsKnight Plays of the Week are included in this week's program.

Archived episodes of the show are available via UCFAthletics.com, ucftv.ucf.edu and as a part of Bright House Network's OnDemand programming.
