ORLANDO, Fla. - Followers of the Knights can tune into UCF SportsKnight at a new time for the remainder of the year every Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. on SunSports. This week's episode features highlights of some big home wins for the UCF men's and women's basketball teams and the start of tennis season.
Viewers are taken inside the past week in UCF Athletics by UCF alum Jeff Sharon during each 30-minute installment of the program. Replays of the show can also can be seen throughout the week on Bright House Sports Network, UCF-TV and Fox College Sports Atlantic.
This week's episode will recap several key home wins last week at UCF Arena for both the UCF men's and women's basketball teams. Both programs find themselves near the top of their respective Conference USA standings after strong starts in league play.
This week's show will also include match highlights from season-opening home wins by both the UCF men's and women's tennis teams last week in Orlando. This week's SportsKnight also sits down with women's tennis head coach Stephanie Nickitas to discuss the start of her team's season and what the Knights have coming up
The SportsKnight Spotlight this week shines on Chelsie Wiley of the women's basketball team, and why her teammates call her "Grandma."
Plus it's our monthly SportsKnight Highlight, where we show the plays of the month set to tracks from local bands. This month's song is "Wasted" by Afterglow Radio (www.myspace.com/afterglowradio) UCF Athletics, Real Radio and Axis Magazine are proud to support local area music.
Customers with Bright House digital cable can see the program air at 4:30 on Tuesday and 4:00 on Thursday on Bright House Sports Network (channel 47). Multiple times throughout the week viewers can watch the show on UCF-TV (channel 1). Archived episodes of the program are available online via UCFAthletics.com and UCF-TV.
UCF SportsKnight is a weekly program that debuted in September and is produced through a partnership between UCF Athletics and UCF TV.
