UCF Releases On-Sale Dates for Baseball, Softball Single-Game Tickets

Jan. 26, 2009

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - With season tickets already available for both sports, UCF has announced its on-sale dates for baseball and softball single-game tickets. Tickets will go on sale Friday, Jan. 30, at 9 a.m. and fans may call the UCF Ticket Office at (407) 823-1000 or visit Ticketmaster.com.

The Knights' Ticket Office also announced that baseball season-tickets will be mailed out early this week, so fans are encouraged to check their mailboxes soon.

For softball single-game tickets, adults may catch the Knights for $5 each, with youths, senior citizens and faculty and staff tickets only $2. Group discounts also will be available.

Softball's home opener is slated for Feb. 11 when UCF hosts North Florida in a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. The Black and Gold also will hold three different tournaments at the UCF Softball Complex, which includes a match-up against nationally-ranked Tennessee Feb. 14. Oklahoma State (Feb. 21) and Iowa (March 19) also highlight the Knights' non-conference home schedule.

The defending Conference USA Tournament champions, UCF will welcome UAB, Southern Miss, Marshall and UTEP to town in league play.

Over on the baseball diamond, single-game tickets will be $7 for adults, while youths, senior citizens and faculty and staff are $5 each. There also will be group discounts.

Under first-year head coach Terry Rooney, the Knights open the campaign with a four-game home series against Virginia Commonwealth on Feb. 20 at 6:30 p.m. Other notable non-conference games will be match-ups with Florida (March 18), Stetson (April 21, May 6) and USF (March 11, April 28).

UCF is scheduled to host three C-USA programs that advanced to the 2008 NCAA Tournament in Southern Miss, Tulane and Houston. Marshall also makes the trek south to Orlando, as the Thundering Herd reached the C-USA Tournament title game a year ago.
