? With the victory, the Knights improved to 6-2 all-time against the Owls. That includes a 4-0 mark since the programs joined Conference USA in 2005.
? With 20 points, Jermaine Taylor now has sole possession of fifth on the UCF career scoring register with 1,560 points. Taylor entered the game at Rice tied with his cousin, Darryl Davis, on the list. Davis played for the Knights from 1991-95.
? Taylor moved into the top 15 on the Conference USA scoring list as well. He passed Chris Douglas-Roberts (Memphis, 2006-08) Saturday and is 15th on the league's career points register.
? Taylor connected on three triples, giving him 201 for his career. He ranks second all-time at UCF in the category.
? Tony Davis' 17 points matched a career high. He added a season-high 12 rebounds for his third double-double of the year.
? Kenrick Zondervan made the 75th start of his career. He totaled 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor against the Owls.
? In 33 minutes, A.J. Rompza dished out six assists with just one turnover.
? Taylor Young logged 24 minutes and recorded five assists without turning the ball over.
? Kory Pugh, who joined the team in December, made his first collegiate appearance, playing the final minute.
? The contest served as the first of three trips to Texas for UCF this year. The team will play at UTEP on Feb. 11 and will face host Houston 10 days later.
