ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF junior women's basketball player Marcquitta Head will miss the remainder of the 2008-09 season due to pregnancy, UCF head coach Joi Williams announced Tuesday afternoon.
"Obviously, in this situation, our focus is on the health of Marcquitta and her unborn child. We will be there to support her throughout this process, both personally and academically, as she continues her studies," said Williams. "Marcquitta's presence inside will be sorely missed from our team during this time as she has been a key contributor early on this season. We look forward to Marcquitta's return to the basketball court in 2009-10."
