ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF softball team put together its most successful season in program history in 2008 after posting 49 wins, claiming the Conference USA Championship crown and defeating the top-ranked team in the nation in the NCAA Gainesville Regional semi-final. With the Knights' 2009 campaign just around the corner, season and single-game tickets are now available for purchase online at UCFAthletics.com or by calling the UCF Athletics Ticket Office at (407) UCF-1000.
Season tickets for the 2009 campaign are $40, while single-game tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for UCF faculty/staff, youth and seniors. For groups of 20 people or more, tickets are only $3.
The ticket office is also offering fun-filled birthday party packages for young UCF softball fans, with parties starting at $125 for 10 people.
The softball squad will play 34 home contests and host three tournaments at the UCF Softball Complex in 2009, welcoming in some of the best competition in the nation. The Knights will host 22 teams throughout the course of their three home tournaments, while playing 12 different teams during the stretch, including NCAA Tournament participant Tennessee.
In C-USA action, the Knights will have 12 games at home, while hosting 10 additional non-conference contests outside of tournament play. The non-league slate will be highlighted by a match-up with NCAA Regional participant Iowa on March 19 and contests against in-state rivals, North Florida, Bethune-Cookman and FIU.
