UCF-Alabama Game Notes

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Just two days after returning from the U.S. Virgin Islands, the UCF women's basketball team will hit the road again Tuesday afternoon, traveling to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to get set for a non-conference game at Alabama Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. eastern time.

Knights' fans looking to follow the action can listen to a live audio internet broadcast beginning at approximately 6:40 p.m.. The audio broadcast, through Stretch Audio Internet, can be accessed free of charge at http://ucfathletics.cstv.com/multimedia/ucf-wbb-stretch-sched.html.

The UCF women's basketball team will have the opportunity to end a couple of streaks when they play at Alabama. The Knights will strive to snap the team's four-game losing streak this season and also win its first game in four meetings with Alabama.

The Knights return to action after playing three games at the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands. While UCF battled against No. 6/7 Baylor and led its other two contests at halftime, the Knights were done in by second-half droughts and could not pull out a victory. D'Nay Daniels broke out of an early-season slump to score in double figures in all three contests, and her play earned her all-tournament honors.

The Alabama game is the fourth of a six that UCF will play away from home. The Knights have road games at Florida Gulf Coast and Jacksonville before returning home to host Miami, Wake Forest and Ole Miss on Dec. 18, Dec. 19 and Dec. 21.

With a 4-2 record, the Crimson Tide are off to a strong start in the first season with Wendell Hudson at the helm. In its last outing, Alabama defeated Northern Iowa, 76-56. A very balanced team, the squad has eight players averaging between 5.3 and 10.8 points per game.

KNIGHTS NOTES
? LAST TIME OUT: UCF is looking to break a four-game losing skid. In its last outing, UCF dropped a 68-50 decision to Villanova at the Paradise Jam.

? THE SERIES:
Alabama leads the all-time series with UCF 3-0. The last time the two teams met was on Dec. 19, 2003, when the Crimson Tide defeated UCF 63-41 in the UCF Holiday Classic. The last meeting in Tuscaloosa was on Nov. 24, 1995, with Alabama winning 87-58.

? UCF VS. SEC:
UCF will be looking for its first win all-time against the Southeastern Conference, dating all the way back to the program's inception. Heading into Wednesday's game, the Knights are 0-40 all-time against the SEC. UCF has played nine of the 12 programs in the SEC, and twenty-four of those losses have come against in-state rival Florida.

Patrick has played 38 minutes on two occasions and 30 or more in all but one of the Knights' contests.
