ORLANDO, Fla. - Erik Kohler, the popular public address voice of UCF football, men's basketball and other sports since 2000 will be heard in his first-ever bowl game this weekend. Kohler has been selected to serve as the voice of the inaugural magicJack St. Petersburg Bowl on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Tropicana Field on ESPN2. The event pits a pair of UCF's 2008 opponents as Memphis will represent Conference USA against Big East entry USF.
Kohler's career has allowed him to have a front row seat for several great events including the 2005 and 2007 Conference USA Football Championship Games and Opening Days for both Bright House Networks Stadium and the new UCF Arena. He has also been fortunate enough to do free-lance work for the Orlando Magic, Houston Astros and Washington Nationals spring training contests, and many events at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex, including the recent Old Spice Classic.
