ORLANDO (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF baseball team is inviting players interested in the Winter Skills Workshop to sign up soon as the camp is filling up fast. The event takes place Dec. 20-21 on the UCF campus, and those wishing to attend may visit www.TerryRooneyBaseballCamps.com or call (407) 242-4099.
The cost per camper is $250, or $150 for pitchers on Sunday only. Lunch and a t-shirt are provided. Players need to be between the ages of 13 and 18 to participate.
There are two phases to the workshop. Saturday is the hitting phase and includes extensive training drills, live batting practice on the game field and professional instruction from UCF head coach Terry Rooney and assistant coaches Cliff Godwin, Jeff Palumbo and Aaron Smith.
Phase two on Sunday includes pitching and defensive drills, which will be specific to the position campers play.
