UCF to Conclude Paradise Jam Against Villanova

ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's basketball team will conclude play in the Paradise Jam on Saturday, playing Villanova at 1 p.m. eastern time. The Knights are now 1-4 on the season after a pair of close defeats to start the season.

In the Knights outing Friday, they led by as many as seven early but fell to Wisconsin 65-61. Freshman Aisha Patrick (Rockledge, Fla.) led UCF with 14 points and also grabbed eight rebounds.

Head coach Joi Williams' team put four players in double figures for the second-straight game as Emma Cannon (Rochester, N.Y.) scored 12 points and D'Nay Daniels (Atlanta, Ga.) and Chelsie Wiley (Riviera Beach, Fla.) chipped in 10 apiece.

UCF will be playing a Villanova (2-3) team that has also dropped its first two games of the tournament. The Wildcats are coming off a 62-57 loss to No. 6/7 Baylor Friday. Senior Laura Kurz scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds in the loss.
