UCF and Wisconsin to Battle Today at Paradise Jam

ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's basketball team returns to the court at the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center Thursday afternoon, playing against Wisconsin at 1 p.m. eastern time.

The Knights, coming off a solid performance in a 79-67 loss to No. 6/7 Baylor in the opening game, will look for their first all-time win against a Big Ten foe. UCF has dropped its two games against the conference, with both coming to Purdue.

Wisconsin won its opener in a close game against Villanova, defeating the Wildcats 47-45 behind 12 points from Alyssa Karel.

Head coach Joi Williams' team featured a balanced scoring attack Thursday, with Emma Cannon (Rochester, N.Y.) leading four Knights in double figures with 17 points. Angelica Mealing (Decatur, Ga.) pitched in 15 off the bench.
