ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Knight fans interested in supporting the UCF women's basketball team will have the opportunity to participate in the $3 for 3s fundraising campaign during the 2008-09 season, the Golden Knights Club recently announced.
Friends, fans and alumni of the women's basketball team have the opportunity to pledge $3.00 for every three-point shot a UCF women's basketball player makes during the 2008-09 season, including postseason play and tournaments. Participants also have the opportunity to pledge a different amount for each made three-pointer.
All pledges made will help support the women's basketball program. At the completion of the season, participants will be sent an invoice based on their pledge and the amount of threes made by the Knights. After fulfilling their pledge, contributors will receive an exclusive gift, compliments of the Golden Knights Club.
In 2007-08, UCF knocked 109 three-pointers, led by Marshay White's 30 triples. The Knights had seven players hit a three, and six of those players return for 2008-09.

UCF, now 1-2 on the season, will play its next three games in the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands from Nov. 27-29. The Knights get the tournament underway on Thursday, playing Baylor at 3:30 p.m.
