ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Just days before her team's home opener, UCF head women's basketball coach Joi Williams can be heard live Tuesday morning on The Pulse of Orlando radio show on WOKB 1680 AM with host Linda Walters. Williams is set to appear on the show between 10 and 10:30 a.m.
Topics Williams is slated to discuss on the show are expected to include the team's goals for this season, the makeup of the team, the challenges the team will face in its early season schedule and the Knights' home opener this Friday.
UCF opened the 2008-09 season on Sunday at Colorado, losing to the Buffaloes 86-59 at the Coors Events and Conference Center in Boulder. Sophomore Emma Cannon had 19 points and 17 rebounds in the contest to lead the Knights.
The regular season home opener will take place on Friday, Nov. 21, when Florida A&M visits for a 7 p.m. contest. Friday's game is Community Night with free admission for all fans. The following day, Florida Atlantic visits UCF Arena for a 5 p.m. tip-off.
