ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Jermaine Taylor had a game-high 28 points and 10 rebounds, notching a double-double that helped Central Florida beat North Carolina A&T 81-62 on Sunday.
Isaac Sosa added 18 points for the Knights (1-0), who won their season opener for the seventh consecutive season. A.J. Taylor chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds coming off the bench. He was 4-for-8 from beyond the arc.
Nicholas Wilson scored 17 points and Tavarus Alston added 13 for the Aggies (1-1) in the first-ever meeting between the schools.
UCF shot 50 percent from the field versus North Carolina A&T's 40 percent mark en route to victory. The Golden Knights led 47-39 at halftime, and built a 20-point lead at one point late in the second half.
UCF led the way on the boards with 44 rebounds compared to 25 by the Aggies.
