ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF men's soccer team gets postseason play underway Wednesday afternoon, playing third-seeded Memphis at 3:30 p.m. The two teams were both involved in a four-way tie for third place, but the tiebreaking scenarios left the Tigers third and the Knights as the sixth seed.

The Conference USA Tournament, hosted by SMU at Westcott Field, will be held in Dallas, Texas from Nov. 12-16. The winners of the four quarterfinals Wednesday advance to the semifinals on Friday, with the championship game slated for Sunday.

Ending a five-game losing streak with the tie at South Carolina, the Knights finished the regular season at 6-10-1 overall and 3-4-1 in league play. Memphis concluded its run in the regular season at 6-10-2 overall and an identical 3-4-1 in conference.

On Sept. 20, the two teams opened C-USA play in Orlando, with the host Knights posting a 1-0 victory over the Tigers. Freshman Kevan George (Decatur, Ga.) scored the game's lone marker in the 59th minute while sophomore Sean Johnson (Lilburn, Ga.) needed just two saves to record a shutout.

The Tigers lead the all-time series with UCF 3-2-1, but the Knights are 2-0-1 in the last three meetings.

The winner of the UCF-Memphis will meet the winner of the game between second-seeded Kentucky and seventh-seeded Marshall in Friday's first semifinal. In Wednesday's third quarterfinal, the league champion and top seed Tulsa will square off against eighth-seeded UAB. The final game of the day will pit fourth-seeded SMU and fifth-seeded USC.
