UCF SportsKnight to Broadcast on Tuesday

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Knights' fans can watch this week's UCF SportsKnight on Tuesday at 5 p.m. on Sun Sports, when the episode reviews the women's tennis team's fall season and the events that took place over Homecoming weekend.

UCF Alumni Jeff Sharon hosts the 30-minute program that takes viewers inside the past week in UCF Athletics. The program also airs on UCF TV several times each week.

Besides last week's Homecoming activities, the program will also include a special look at the football game and the women's basketball exhibition games. Following the football game, the men's basketball team hosted Post-game Madness which attracted 2,000 fans.

The SportsKnight Spotlight looks at the freshman players that have excelled on the women's tennis team. Head coach Stephanie Nickitas will discuss the team's fall season and the importance of freshmen Alexis Rodriguez, Christy Core and Andrea Yacaman.

Women's basketball head coach Joi Williams and sophomore Emma Cannon will be on set to preview the season. The Knights travel to Boulder, Colo. on Sunday to take on Colorado at 4:30 p.m. in their 2008-09 season-opener.

Each week, the show provides highlights from the past week in UCF Athletics, including the plays of the week, and also features a news and notes section which presents the viewer with additional information on the Knights.

This week, Knight's Talk will be back with director of athletics Keith Tribble. In the segment, Tribble discusses topics that are sent in by viewers of the program.

Social Ghost, with their song "Something More," is the local artist featured on this week's edition. More information about the band can be found by visiting their website at myspace.com/socialghost.
