ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Fans expecting to watch only a football game on Saturday for UCF's Homecoming game against Southern Miss will be in for a pleasant surprise with all of the fun-filled events that are slated for the week's finale.
The day's festivities get underway early for most Knight fans, as tailgating opens on campus at 7 a.m. for the early birds. Walking or taking a ride through the heart of campus you can see numerous tents and trailers playing home to fans bonding over their love for the Knights, good food and games. For those lucky enough to get a spot in Memory Mall, the focal point of tailgating for UCF students and die-hard fans, they will have the prime location for sharing in the excitement of gameday.
While building up anticipation for kickoff, fans tailgating in front of the stadium will have a prime view of the traditional Knight Walk. The Marching Knights and UCF Spirit squad lead the Black and Gold football players and staff to Bright House Networks Stadium, allowing spectators to get a last look at the team before putting on their helmets and pads.
As gametime nears and fans finish up their pre-game celebrations, it is time to enter the stadium.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. Tickets for the clash with the Golden Eagles are still available, including a $20 ticket courtesy of SunTrust Banks. To order your tickets today, call Ticketmaster at (407) 839-3900 or visit Ticketmaster.com. Tickets are not available at SunTrust Bank locations.
