ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - As the UCF women's basketball team gets set to begin its second season at the new UCF Arena, new season ticket orders and renewals are currently being taken by the UCF ticket sales office.
In 2008-09, UCF will play 13 home contests at the new UCF Arena, one of the premier facilities in Conference USA. The home slate includes eight C-USA contests and five non-conference games. The non-conference schedule includes games against Miami and Wake Forest from the Atlantic Coast Conference and Ole Miss from the SEC. In conference play the Knights will welcome two teams that competed in the NCAA Tournament last season in SMU and UTEP.
Head coach Joi Williams' squad features eight returning sophomores, including three double-digit scorers in Emma Cannon (11.7), Marshay White (11.6) and D'Nay Daniels (10.2).

In their first season at the new UCF Arena, the Knights played 17 home games and hosted the C- USA Championship. On Feb. 2, 2008, UCF established a new single-game attendance record when 1,457 fans watched the Knights host East Carolina.
The Knights' home opener will take place on Friday, Nov. 21, when Florida A&M visits for a 7 p.m. contest. The following day, Florida Atlantic visits for a 5 p.m. tip-off.
