ORLANDO (UCFAthletics.com) - The final non-conference game awaits the UCF football team this Saturday when it travels south to square off against Miami at 3:45 p.m. on ESPNU. The contest marks the first meeting between the Knights and Hurricanes on the gridiron.

A victory this weekend would pull the Knights to an even 3-3 record heading into their clash at Tulsa Oct. 26. The Black and Gold is coming off a 37-17 performance over SMU Oct. 4, a game that saw redshirt freshman Ronnie Weaver rack up 123 yards and a touchdown on the ground. It was the Wabasso native's first-career 100-yard rushing game.

Also in the victory over the Mustangs, sophomore Brian Watters hauled in three passes for 83 yards, including a 56-yard scoring strike from Michael Greco in the third quarter. Meanwhile, senior Joe Burnett picked off his school record 14th career pass, helping to give the Knights 10 interceptions on the year. That ranks third in the nation.

Miami comes into the weekend with an identical 2-3 record. The Hurricanes have suffered close defeats in their last two outings, both at home, by dropping a 28-24 last-second decision to North Carolina Sept. 27 and a 41-39 affair to Florida State Oct. 4.

While Greco (426 yards) and freshman Rob Calabrese (236) have at least 200 yards passing this season for UCF, Miami also claims a pair of quarterbacks with 200 or more yards in the air. Robert Marve leads the way with 538 and Jacory Harris is right behind him at 298. Similarly, Weaver has totaled 328 rushing yards compared to Graig Cooper's mark of 322 yards.

The Hurricanes have a slight 303.8-282.4 edge in total offense in 2008, but are averaging 31.8 points per game. The Knights have posted 18.4 points per contest.

UCF's next home game will be a nationally-televised showdown with East Carolina, Sunday Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. on ESPN. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the UCF Ticket Office at 407-UCF-1000.
