ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Before the Knights hit the gridiron on Saturday at Bright House Networks Stadium, UCF fans can look ahead to the upcoming men's basketball season as head coach Kirk Speraw will be appearing on the Buffalo Wild Wings Tailgate Show at IOA Plaza. Speraw, who is in his 16th year guiding the Knights, is scheduled to join the pregame radio show around 2:15 p.m.
UCF will open the 2008-09 campaign on Nov. 16 with a game against North Carolina A&T at the new UCF Arena. The Knights are slated to play 16 contests at home this season, including tilts with cross-state foe USF and national power Memphis.
At the football game on Saturday, basketball schedule posters will be available at the sports marketing kiosk on the concourse underneath the Roth Tower. Members of the UCF ticket sales office will also be on hand at the kiosk to provide information about season tickets.
The posters feature senior guard Jermaine Taylor (Tavares, Fla.) and a shot of the new UCF Arena. A Conference USA Player of the Year candidate, Taylor was one of the nation's top offensive players a season ago when he averaged 20.8 points.
Season ticket renewals are due Oct. 15. To order your season tickets today, or to learn more about premium seating options, contact the ticket sales office at (407) UCF-1000.
