WINDERMERE, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Defending champion Georgia posted a 277 (-11) in the second round Monday to grab the lead at the Isleworth-UCF Collegiate Invitational. Competing at the nation's premier men's college tournament, the Bulldogs (571, -5) lead second-place Indiana (574, -2) by three shots after two days of action.

Georgia's Russell Henley carded a 5-under 67 Monday and is first in the individual standings at 138 (-6). Jorge Campillo of Indiana (139, -5) trails Henley by a stroke.

The 18-team tournament will conclude Tuesday. Eight of the top-10 squads in the country are competing at the event according to the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index.

Henley was one of three Georgia golfers who finished in the red Monday. The Bulldogs entered the second round tied for fourth in the team standings. Hudson Swafford is tied for fifth at 141 (-3) after carding a 4-under 68 in the second round. Teammate Brian Harmon also totaled a 68 and is tied for 15th at 145 (+1).

Campillo was tied for first after one day of play and posted a 1-under 71 in the second round. Fifteen players finished the second round under par.

Host UCF is 18th at 610 (+34). Blayne Barber and Greg Forest are tied for 42nd at 150 (+6).

Georgia has claimed three of the four previous Isleworth-UCF Collegiate Invitational titles. In 2007, the Bulldogs established a tournament record with a three-round total of 841 (-23).

Oklahoma State's Mark Johnson fired a hole-in-one at 15. He concluded the day with a 4-over 76 and is tied for 15th.

Alabama (578, +2) is in third, followed by Southern California at 579 (+3). Indiana's Alex Martin and Alabama's Matthew Swan are two strokes behind Henley at 140 (-4).

The event is hosted by UCF and Tavistock Group, in partnership with the Central Florida Sports Commission.
