ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - A new episode of UCF Sports Knight will air Tuesday at 5 p.m. on Sun Sports. The 30-minute television program hosted by UCF alum Jeff Sharon focuses on all of UCF's varsity sports teams.
UCF TV also airs the show several times per week.
Tuesday's episode will take a look back to 1978 when the UCF volleyball team went a perfect 55-0 and won the AIAW national championship. Members of the team were honored Friday night as the team's championship banner was unveiled at the Venue at UCF. Former coaches and players were on hand to reflect upon their achievements.
Lucy McDaniel, the team's head coach, will appear on the show to provide insight into the accomplishments of the team and reflect on the ceremony recognizing her squad this past weekend.
Each week, UCF SportsKnight airs highlights from the past week in UCF Athletics, including the top three plays of the week.
This week, Knights Talk will be back with director of athletics Keith Tribble. In the segment, Tribble will discuss the success that the Knights have had this fall.
UCF SportsKnight debuted the first week of September. The program is produced via a partnership between UCF Athletics and UCF TV.
