On the weekend, Serna helped lead the Knights to its first league-sweep at home over Marshall and East Carolina, two teams that the Knights had never beaten in a league contest. The right-side hitter hit .362 through UCF's two contests, which included a .375 hitting percentage with 17 kills in the victory over Marshall on Friday night. Serna also tallied three block assists in the match. In Sunday's come-from-behind win over East Carolina, Serna posted a match-high and season-best 20 kills, including the set-winning kill in the 34-32 third-set victory. In that set, Serna had seven of the Knights' 22 kills, including four kills in the 12-10 run that led to the win. The senior averaged 3.70 kills and 3.85 points per set in the two-match sweep and hit over .350 in both contests. The Knights are slated to host Memphis (Friday) and UAB (Sunday) this weekend.
