Centex Homes Rally Towels Amongst Highlights For Football Fans on Saturday

Oct. 2, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - When the Knights host SMU on Saturday at Bright House Networks Stadium at 3:30 p.m., it will mark UCF's first home game in nearly a month. Before fans concentrate on the action on the field, several promotional activities at the stadium will provide fun before kickoff.

Game sponsor Centex Homes will offer free rally towels for the first 10,000 fans who enter the stadium. Additionally, in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Florida Hospital Cancer Institute will distribute pink foam fingers and stickers throughout the stadium.

Fans attending the game are encouraged to arrive early to not only enjoy the promotions, but to avoid lines entering the stadium. One way to avoid the lines is by utilizing the new E-PASS Fast Gate 14. The innovative partnership brings the expertise of the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority together with UCF to help alleviate a common problem at college football games - getting fans through the gates. At gate 14, representatives from the expressway authority will be handing out a limited number of complimentary E-PASS transponders.

Fan Faire, located at IOA Plaza outside the stadium, will feature:
• The Buffalo Wild Wings pregame radio show, which broadcasts live on the UCF ISP Sports Network, starting at 1:30 p.m.
• Live entertainment from the Howl at the Moon Saloon from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
• The Coke Town interactive gaming area for fans to test their football skills
• The Bright House Networks interactive fan area
• The chance to win a new car courtesy of Holler-Classic
• Representatives from Universal Studios handing out discount passes to Halloween Horror Nights
• Interactive gaming from Domino's Pizza, with the opportunity to win free pizza and prizes
• Special subscription offers from the Orlando Sentinel
• Gift certificates from Outback Steakhouse
• Representatives from Centex Homes offering the chance to win a VIP party and tickets to UCF's homecoming contest with Southern Miss
• Gift certificates from Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill
• Premium cupcake gift certificates from Sweet! in Waterford Lakes
• Complimentary sunscreen from Mid-Florida Dermatology
• Gift certificates and prizes from Chick-Fil-A
• Representatives from Cholula Hot Sauce handing out samples in lots E6 and E7

Several promotional activities are planned for the concourse areas of the stadium. Representatives from Fifth Third Bank will be offering free coozies and keychains. The Florida Lottery and Progress Energy will both be providing paper fans, helping those in attendance stay cool.

Tickets for the game are still available and can be purchased online at either UCFAthletics.com or Ticketmaster.com.
