Bethune-Cookman Wildcats (0-7, 0-0 MEAC)
The Wildcats are winless after competing in two tournaments at Mercer and Florida Atlantic. Junior Chelle Ticeson leads Bethune-Cookman in kills (46), hitting percentage (.316) and total blocks (15). The middle blocker earned all-tournament honors at both tournaments the Wildcats competed in.

The Knights are 14-0 against Bethune-Cookman. The last time the two teams met on the court was in the 2005 season where UCF defeated the host Wildcats in straight sets (30-21, 30-15, 30-16).

High Scorer
Sophomore Janine Williams posted three-straight matches with double-digit kills at the Jayhawk Invitational last weekend, which included two-consecutive matches in which she recorded match highs. Against No. 13 Oregon, Williams had a match-high 11 kills, before totaling 18 kills in the Knights' win over Utah Valley State, a mark that led all hitters. In the tournament finale, the outside hitter totaled 16 kills in the four-set match with Kansas.

Road Trip
The Knights' match against Bethune-Cookman at The Venue Wednesday is the squad's last home match before embarking on an eight-match road swing that will extend though the end of September. Prior to Wednesday, UCF has played only one match at home and six as the visiting team.

Double-Digit Campbell
Junior Erin Campbell has totaled at least 10 kills in five of the Knights' seven matches in 2008. The outside hitter posted a career-high 22 kills in UCF's season-opener against in-state rival Jacksonville, and registered a match-high 10 kills against No. 3 Stanford on Sept. 2. At the Jayhawk Invitational, Campbell posted 15 kills in UCF's win over Utah Valley State, her second-highest total of the season.

Moving Up a Block at a Time
Jenny Heppert has recorded at least one block assist in all of the Knights' matches this season, including a season-high six block assists in the Knights' season-opening win over Jacksonville. With her 19 total blocks in 2008, Heppert has surpassed Emily Bridson for the No. 6 spot in total blocks on the UCF individual career register. Heppert currently has 291 total career blocks and needs only one more to tie and two more to surpass Emily Queisser for the No. 5 spot.

Making Her Move
Freshman Kathleen Curry made her first collegiate start as the Knights' libero Friday at the Jayhawk Invitational after showing great poise off of the bench against No. 13 Oregon. Her composure earned her a starting nod in UCF's win over Utah Valley State Friday night and again in the match against host Kansas. Curry posted a team-leading 39 digs in the tournament, including 18 against the Wolverines.

Setting It Up
Setter Lauren Rosenthal also had a big weekend for the Black and Gold at the Jayhawk Invitational, earning the starting job for the match vs. Utah Valley State, where she posted a career-high 53 assists. She followed up that performance with 39 assists against host Kansas in the tournament finale and fell one dig short of her second-career double-double after recorded nine against the Jayhawks.
