UCF Invites Fans to Watch the Knights Play in Cancun

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Fans looking to travel to Mexico to watch the UCF men's basketball team compete in the Cancun Challenge in November can utilize the travel package offered by Triple Crown Sports. The Knights will play two games at the inaugural event, beginning Nov. 29.

The package includes lodging at the Moon Palace Resort, admission to the games, ground transportation, meals and drinks and several tours of the area. Entrance to the games, which will be played at the Moon Palace Convention Center, is only available by purchasing the travel package.

The Knights will open the event against South Dakota State. The following day, on Nov. 30, the squad will meet Morehead State. The 10-team event also includes Central Arkansas, The Citadel, Drake, Grambling, New Mexico, Vanderbilt and Virginia Commonwealth.

As part of the challenge, UCF is also slated to face host New Mexico on Nov. 22.

UCF will open the 2008-09 regular season on Nov. 16, hosting North Carolina A&T at the new UCF Arena. The Knights are scheduled to play 16 contests at the state-of-the-art facility this season, including a Dec. 6 game with cross-state foe USF and a Jan. 10 Conference USA matchup with national runner-up Memphis.
