ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team will open its fall campaign Friday when play begins at the Southern Intercollegiate Championship in Athens, Ga. Four Knights - seniors Brock Sakey (Gulf Breeze, Fla.) and Tarek Ben Soltane (Tunis, Tunisia) and freshmen Joe Delinks (Falmouth, Mass.) and Eugene Dolgovykh (Palm Coast, Fla.) - will all be in action at the three-day tournament.
The event, which is hosted by Georgia, features 179 participants from 32 schools from the southeast. The field will be divided into three singles divisions and two doubles divisions.
All four Knights will compete in singles competition. In doubles play, Sakey will pair with Delinks, and Ben Soltane will partner will Dolgovykh.
Head coach Bobby Cashman's UCF squad is scheduled to participate in five tournaments this fall.
The team will open its spring slate in January.
