ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Thanks to donations from Chick Fil-A and Albertson's of Oviedo, coupons and free donuts will be given to the first 100 fans in attendance for the women's meet of the Black & Gold Invitational Saturday morning at the UCF Cross Country Complex.
The event starts at 9 a.m. with the men's race while the women's race is slated for a 10 a.m. start. The first 100 fans in attendance for the women's race will receive coupons from Chick Fil-A while donuts from Albertson's of Oviedo will be handed out while supplies last.
The event marks the second at the new UCF Cross Country Complex. In the season-opening Knight Attack Challenge last Friday, UCF claimed a second-place finish behind a strong team effort. The Knights, led by junior Erica Weitz' sixth-place finish and personal best, had four runners finish the race in the top 10. Allison Palmer, Ocean Cohen and Shantile Blackburn finished eighth, ninth and tenth respectively.
Both the start and finish lines of the course are located near the UCF Softball Complex on North Orion Boulevard. Team and spectator parking will be in lot E8 across from the complex.
