ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Before the UCF men's golf team opens the 2008-09 campaign this week, head coach Nick Clinard hosted the program's alumni and friends event on Friday. Over 40 individuals participated in the event, which included a tournament at the Rio Pinar Country Club.
Participants included former UCF star and current PGA TOUR member Cliff Kresge.
"We had a wonderful event and we are thankful for all those who participated. It was a great turnout and we want to make it better each and every year," Clinard said. "Rio Pinar did a great job hosting and it was great for Cliff to be able to take time to play outside of his busy PGA TOUR schedule."
The program will hold a fundraiser on Feb. 9, 2009 at the Isleworth Golf & Country Club in nearby Windermere. Those interested in participating in the tournament at Isleworth should contact the UCF men's golf office at (407) 823-1465.
