ORLANDO, Fla. (www.UCFAthletics.com) - UCF opened its 2008 season with a 17-0 shutout of South Carolina State last Saturday night at Bright House Networks Stadium. This week the challenge will be more stern as the USF Bulls head east up I-4 for their BHNS debut.
USF has won each of the first three meetings in the series and enters the game ranked in both polls. The Bulls rolled past UT Martin, 56-7, last Saturday in their opener. All of America will have a chance to see what happens on Saturday night as ESPN2 broadcasts the game live with the Knights looking to extend their home winning streak to eight games.
The UCF defense turned in, statistically, its best effort of the George O'Leary era against SCSU, holding the Bulldogs to 126 yards of total offense.
