In 2007, UCF thrilled the whole city of Orlando as the Knights, in their first season playing on campus at 45,000-seat Bright House Networks Stadium, used a 6-1 home record to help claim the program's first ever Conference USA Championship. With that crown, claimed with a 44-25 win over Tulsa before an ecstatic home crowd, the Knights earned a berth in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl against SEC representative Mississippi State. UCF averaged a C-USA best 44,018 fans per game last fall at its new home.

Riding a six game winning streak at home, the Knights return to their castle on Saturday night to open their 2008 campaign against South Carolina State. The Bulldogs have been one of the MEAC's better squads of late, winning at least seven games in each of the past six seasons. This week they face a UCF team which returns nine starters on defense, including a quartet of defensive backs who have combined to start an astounding 135 games.

Tickets are still available for the game and be purchased through Ticketmaster by calling (407) 839-3900 or by going online at UCFAthletics.com. Season tickets for the 2008 campaign are still available either by calling 407-UCF-1000 or by visiting UCFAthletics.com.
