UCF Football Preseason Report - Aug. 12

Aug. 12, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Members of the UCF football team started a busy day with a two-hour practice Tuesday morning on the practice fields next to Bright House Networks Stadium. The Knights are slated to return to the fields this evening around 7:10 p.m. for another session.

Today marks the Knights' second two-a-day session of the camp.

"You definitely have to prepare yourself before each day. You have to make sure you are getting rest the night before," said junior tight end Corey Rabazinksi. "We'll have a break after lunch and you have to take advantage of the breaks. As long as you are prepared for it, it is not as bad as it seems."

According to Rabazinski, the benefits of the two-a-days outweigh the negatives.

"You just have to come out here both practices and get better. When you have two practices in one day, it easily compares to a game. Once you get into the game, it always seems easier than practice."

•UCF's football select-a-seat and picture day is set for this Sunday. UCF Athletics representatives will be on hand at Bright House Networks Stadium from 1-6 p.m. to help fans make new season-ticket purchases. An autograph session with the Knights, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 4:30 p.m. inside the stadium.

•The annual UCF Community Kickoff Luncheon is slated for Aug. 28 at the Orlando World Center Marriott. For more information on the event, visit www.orlando.org.

UCF will open the 2008 slate on Aug. 30 against South Carolina State at Bright House Networks Stadium. The Knights will play six contests at the on-campus facility in 2008.
