ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Last fall, the facility buzz surrounding the UCF golf programs focused on the opening of the Knights' new practice facility. Located at the Twin Rivers Golf Club in nearby Oviedo, the facility opened to the Knights in September.
The facility provided the men's and women's golf teams with a six-acre short-game area, in addition to a driving range.
This year, the facility buzz is back for the Knights. UCF is currently constructing a teaching building on the Twin Rivers' course. Once completed, the building will have hitting bays, a player lounge, locker rooms and offices for the UCF coaching staff.
According to men's head coach Nick Clinard, construction will conclude in the early fall. Both the UCF men's and women's squads open the 2008-09 campaign in September.
