ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Evan Osteen has joined the UCF men's golf staff as an assistant coach, head coach Nick Clinard announced Tuesday. Osteen joins a program that is among the nation's best after making back-to-back trips to the NCAA Regionals.

"Evan is a tremendous addition to our men's golf program and will be a huge asset. He is an excellent player who understands the college golf landscape and will be a tremendous recruiter," said Clinard. "Evan has a vast knowledge of the game from a teaching, playing and coaching standpoint."

A former student-athlete at North Florida, Osteen has worked professionally in both the private sector and the golf industry. Most recently, he assisted with operations at the Pablo Creek Golf Club in Jacksonville, where he also worked for AXA Advisors as a financial professional.

Osteen graduated from North Florida in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

In 2002, Osteen played in the U.S. Amateur in Michigan.

Osteen has experience serving as an instructor with the PGA Tour's First Tee Program and the Florida Collegiate Golf Coaches Camp.
