Former Knight Mike Mabry to play for ArenaBowl on Sunday

Orlando, FL (www.UCFAthletics.com) - Philadelphia Soul center and former UCF standout Mike Mabry, who played for the Knights in 2001-02, will be starting in today's ArenaBowl vs. the San Jose SaberCats at 3 p.m. on ABC.

Originally from Dayton, Tex., and Southwest Mississippi Junior College, Mabry is now finishing his second season with the Soul, who are owned by rock star Jon Bon Jovi with NFL legend Ron Jaworski as the team's President.

Prior to the start of the 2006 season, Mabry attended training camp with the Cleveland Browns. After his release he would play 16 games for the Soul, tallying eight total tackles, four tackles for losses and two sacks.

Stints with NFL franchises have been throughout Mabry's young career, spending time with the Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals.
