Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF head coach George O'Leary is starting to make his rounds on the local and national media circuits this week with a number of appearances scheduled through the weekend.
On Wednesday night, O'Leary will appear on "SportsNite" with host Matt Stewart at 6:15 p.m. The hour long segment airs live on Comcast Sports Southeast.
On Thursday morning, the fifth-year head coaching of the reigning C-USA Champions, will make an appearance at the Florida Sports Writers Association annual media day in St. Petersburg. O'Leary will meet with state-wide media for a half-hour after taping a segment with SunSports earlier that morning.
On Thursday afternoon, O'Leary will return to Orlando where Knight fans can listen to him on the Brady Ackerman Show on ESPN 1080 at 4:10 p.m. Hosts Brady Ackerman and Jerry O'Neill will preview the Knights 2008 campaign.
On Saturday, O'Leary and seniors Pat Brown and Joe Burnett will travel to Memphis, Tenn., for the Conference USA Football Blitz at the Peabody Hotel. The action begins on Sunday with the all-day affair being highlighted by the trio's appearance on the C-USA Football Blitz television show on the new CBS College Sports station (formerly CSTV).
The show will be hosted by Trev Alberts and Carter Blackburn from 4-6:30 p.m. ET. The Knights are scheduled to appear around the 5 o'clock hour or shortly thereafter.
