Orlando, Fla. (www.UCFAthletics.com) - UCF Director of Athletics Keith Tribble is a 2008 recipient of one of the 100 Black Men of America's Chairman Awards.
The awards are given by the Atlanta-based organization for outstanding excellent and leadership across several industries. They were presented Friday at the 100 Black Men 22nd annual conference at the Disney Yacht and Beach Club.
Other recipients included Dr. Yvonne Sanders-Butler (education), Victoria Rowell (children and youth advocacy) and Dr. Joshua W. Murfree, Jr. (mentoring).
Tribble was honored for Sports Leadership.
Comedian Jonathan Slocumb hosted the affair along with Ingrid Saunders Jones from sponsor Coca-Cola. The keynote address was given by author and educator Michael Eric Dyson.
