ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF's introduction of Terry Rooney as the school's new baseball coach garnered considerable media coverage Thursday and Friday. Rooney's hiring received attention not only in the Orlando area, but also on the national level.

Rooney is concluding his second season at LSU, where he serves as the Tigers' associate head coach. LSU is participating in the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
