ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF men's tennis head coach Bobby Cashman announced Monday that Marc Rocafort has joined the Knights after attending Middle Tennessee for two years. A native of Barcelona, Spain, Rocafort will have two years of eligibility at UCF.
As a sophomore this past season, Rocafort recorded a 14-12 overall record. He posted 11 wins in dual-match play for the Blue Raiders. He went 6-9 at the No. 1 position and 4-1 at No. 2. In doubles action, Rocafort and Morgan Richard went 5-5 at the top spot.
"Marc is a talented player with a great deal of experience," said Cashman. "He is a great addition to our program. Marc can play at the top of the lineup and will really help make us a better team."
Rocafort went 10-3 in singles competition as a freshman. He finished his rookie campaign with a 4-1 mark against Sun Belt Conference foes.
Cashman's Knights went 12-9 this past season. The squad advanced to the Conference USA Championship semifinals in April.
