CAMDEN, N.J. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF's No. 5 lightweight rowing boat competed twice in day one of the Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships, held on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J. The Knights finished third in heat one and third in the repechage Friday, and will now race in Saturday's petite final.
In the first race of the morning at 7 a.m., UCF used a time of 7:02.894 to place third behind No. 1 Wisconsin and No. 4 Georgetown. The Black and Gold proceeded to the repechage in the afternoon where it earned third with a time of 6:45.665. No. 6 Radcliffe and No. 7 Bucknell came in first and second, respectively, to advance to the grand final.
The Knights head to the petite final, which gets underway Saturday at 12:36 p.m.
