ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - For fans wishing to join the UCF women's basketball team at the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands November 27-29, 2008, Basketball Travelers, Inc. offers a complete tournament package for the event.
The travel package includes four-star hotel accommodations for five nights at the Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort, bus transport to and from games and airport, a tournament pass to all games, luggage porterage and a souvenir gift.
Fans may book their trips online at www.paradisejam.com or by calling (425) 776-2775 with a July 1 deadline on the travel package to ensure lodging. After that time, rooms are on a first-come, first-serve basis. The hotel overlooks Charlotte Amalie Harbor and is just steps away from the quarter-mile beach.
The Paradise Jam consists of two separate tournaments, the Island Division and the Reef Division. Each is a four-team, three-game round-robin event. Games will be contested at the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center, the Caribbean's premier basketball facility.
The Knights will participate in the Island Division, which features 2005 NCAA Champion Baylor, and 2008 WNIT participants Wisconsin and Villanova. UCF faces Baylor at 3:30 p.m. EST on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27, Wisconsin at 1 p.m. EST Nov. 28 and Villanova at 1 p.m. EST Nov. 29.
