Orlando, FL (www.UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF Athletics Association announced on Thursday that, effective immediately, head baseball coach Jay Bergman is no longer with the team. Associate Head Coach Craig Cozart will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the season. A national search for UCF's fifth head baseball coach will begin immediately.
In 26 seasons with the Knights, Bergman accumulated a 994-594-3 record and holds a career mark of 1,210-707-3 over 32 seasons. This year, UCF is 27-19, 5-13 in Conference USA with 10 games remaining.
