ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - On Saturday, the Knights will take the field inside Bright House Networks Stadium for their spring game. UCF will be playing a spring game for the first time at the on-campus facility.
The contest is part of UCF's inaugural hall of fame weekend. On Friday evening, nine individuals will be inducted into the UCF Athletics Hall of Fame during a dinner at the stadium.
The Knights will take the field at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Following the spring game, members of the team will participate in fan day, signing autographs for UCF supporters.
Tickets for the game are available at all Ticketmaster outlets and at the UCF box office at Bright House Networks Stadium.
After a recent UCF practice, members of the UCF athletics communications office spoke with senior linebacker Cory Hogue and junior quarterback Michael Greco about the spring game.
#59 - LB Cory Hogue
How excited are you to play the spring game at Bright House Networks Stadium?
"I think it is going to be real exciting. It's going to be nice having the stadium and getting more people to come to this nice venue."
Is the team looking forward to giving the fans a good performance?
"It's going to be a lot of fun for them (the fans) to be able to see what we have this upcoming year. I think the fans should be real excited to go out there and watch the spring game. I think it's going to be a different atmosphere. Instead of playing on the practice field, we'll have the stadium, which is more like a game situation."
#2 - QB Michael Greco
What does it mean for the team to be the first UCF squad to play a spring game at Bright House Networks Stadium?
"It's an honor. That's a beautiful stadium. To be the first class to play the spring game in there [is an honor]. Hopefully, we can put on a show and play well."
