Basketball Practice Facility Photo Gallery

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Several UCF programs are preparing to move into the renovated old arena on campus as construction is nearly complete inside the building. The focal point of the renovation was the development of separate practice courts for the men's and women's basketball programs.

The courts were constructed on the upper levels inside the arena. Both practice courts contain six baskets, a scoreboard and two shot clocks. In late March, permanent wood floors were installed at each court. Following the installation, crews sanded the floor down, painted logos and applied a finish.

Each court features the men's and women's 3-point lines, a large UCF logo at center court, the word "Knights" under each main basket and the Conference USA logo at the main free-throw lines.

In addition to the practice courts, the basketball programs will utilize new locker rooms, player lounges and staff offices. The building also has a dedicated equipment room and its own strength and conditioning area.

The facility now connects to the new UCF Arena, which opened last fall. The main floor inside the arena has not been altered and will serve as the home court for the Knights' volleyball squad.

In addition to basketball, the arena now contains offices and locker rooms for the track and field, volleyball and women's soccer programs. Renovations began in the fall.
