IRVING, Texas (www.ucfathletics.com) - After leading the 19th-ranked Knights to a victory at the UK Bluegrass Invitational earlier in the week, UCF senior Giwon Suh (Orlando, Fla./Olympia) was named the Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday. Suh recorded a fifth-place finish at the 17-team tournament in Lexington, Ky.
Playing in adverse weather conditions as the temperature during the event hovered around 40 degrees, Suh finished the three-round tournament at 224 (+11). In the second round, the senior carded a one-over 72. He has now recorded top-five finishes in back-to-back events.
This is Suh's first C-USA Golfer of the Week honor. He is the fourth UCF player to garner conference honors this spring.
The team title was the second of the season for the Knights.
Suh shared the league honor with Robbie Greenwell of Memphis.
Starting on Sunday, the Knights are slated to compete at the C-USA Championship in Texarkana, Ark.
