ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - UCF alumni, fans and supporters will have the opportunity to learn more about the Knights as they prepare for the 2008-09 campaign when the UCF Knights Coaches Caravan comes to a city near you. The 2008 UCF Coaches Caravan will make stops in four cities and attendees will be able to hear from UCF head coaches and other athletics officials at each event.
Each affair features a question and answer session with football head coach George O'Leary, a preview of the Knights' 2008 football campaign and a highlight video from the past season. Men's basketball head coach Kirk Speraw will also attend every tour stop to talk about his squad, the new UCF Arena and the strength of Conference USA.
Admission to all of the events is free. To attend, please RSVP to Misty Knight at 407-823-2086 or via e-mail at goldenknightsclub@athletics.ucf.edu. Please include your name, phone number, number attending in your party and event location.
Each event will feature prize giveaways, including memorabilia from the 2007 AutoZone Liberty Bowl.
Other UCF head coaches, including Bryan Cunningham (men's soccer) and Todd Dagenais (volleyball) will also make stops at some of the events. Representatives from UCF's Golden Knights Club (GKC), alumni association and athletics ticket sales staff will be on site to answer questions on how fans can become a part of the team behind the team.
