ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF football team will play its annual spring game on Saturday inside Bright House Networks Stadium for the first time in program history. Kickoff for the intrasquad game is set for 3 p.m.
Gates will open at 2 p.m. and fans are encouraged to arrive early as the Knights will be on the field close to an hour prior to kick to start preparing for the contest.
The game will feature the Knights' top offensive and defensive units and substitutes vs. the second and third-team squad members. The offense will wear white jerseys, while the defense will wear gold during the game that will be scored like a regular-season contest.
The contest is scheduled for four 15-minute quarters with a running clock. Halftime will last 15 minutes and members of the 2008 UCF Athletics Hall of Fame class will be honored during a brief on-field ceremony.
Fans can purchase tickets prior to the game online at www.ucfathletics.com, via the phone at 407-UCF-1000 and at the UCF Athletics Ticket Office at Bright House Networks Stadium. The ticket office, on the west side of the facility, is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
On Saturday, the ticket office will open at noon. Tickets purchased online can be picked up at the ticket office.
General admission tickets are $5. UCF students will receive free admission with a valid school ID. Children under two will also receive free admission.
Courtesy parking is available in the Gold Zone "E" lots. Lots E6, E7 and E8 will open at 8 a.m., while E3, E4 and E5 at the UCF Softball Complex will open at noon.
Prospective season-ticket holders are invited to participate in a select-a-seat event at the stadium that begins at 11 a.m. For more information about season tickets or the select-a-seat event, call 407-UCF-1000.
The spring game is part of the UCF Hall of Fame Weekend. Festivities will get underway on Friday with the 2008 UCF Hall of Fame dinner at Bright House Networks Stadium. Following the spring game, UCF players and staff members will participate in an autograph session in the stadium's east concourse.
